About Mike Newman

Mike is a partner at the Fort Smith law firm, Jones, Jackson, Moll, McGinnis & Stocks.

Mike’s civil law practice includes civil litigation, insurance coverage disputes, estate and probate law, and timeshare foreclosures. His extensive litigation experience includes numerous civil trials involving personal injury claims, property damage claims, insurance-related contract disputes, and debtor-creditor claims, as well as appeals.

Mike has given numerous presentations on Arkansas civil procedure, litigation, and insurance law.

Mike is licensed in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism (1987) and a master’s degree in philosophy (1990) from the University of Arkansas. From 1989 to 1992, Mike completed 67 hours toward a philosophy Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Mike earned his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of Law (1998). While there, he served as a member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution.

In his free time, Mike likes spending time with his family, walking hiking trails, and working on his hiking website, Arklahoma Hiker.
